The CCP Interview: Mark Reister, TGRP Solutions

Column Commercial Partners Broker Melissa Krischuk recently interviewed Mark Reister, Founder of TGRP Solutions, to learn more about the firm's relationship-focused approach to company growth.

TGRP Solutions is a boutique professional services firm located in Denver, specializing in accounting, finance, internal audit and other CFO support services. Their team consists of experienced accounting and finance professionals who deliver the right talent at the right time – whether it is an extensive search for a permanent position within a company or an interim solution.

What inspired you to found TGRP in 2010?

I founded TGRP Solutions in October 2010 with the belief that there was a better way to provide accounting and finance solutions to our clients. I saw a need in the recruiting and consulting industry for more companies that valued integrity and individuals. The company was built to meet and surpass client and candidate expectations.

We realize that our clients want a reliable partner that they can trust. “Trust” and “Respect” are earned not given, and it takes time. We are committed to earning trust and respect by “putting in the time,” being transparent and operating with the utmost of integrity and honesty. This straight-forward approach has served us well. It allows us to mutually set expectations and ensures we deliver what was agreed upon.

What is The TGRP Advantage, and how does that set your company apart? 

Our advantage comes from our people. We have some of the best and most knowledgeable benched consultants in the industry. We have kept our costs low so that we can provide top talent at affordable pricing. While others speed through candidates and opportunities to put bodies in front of clients, we take our time to make sure we find the right fit. Our leadership has 50+ total years in the industry and we know what it takes to make our clients happy.

What has led to your company's success and continued growth?

Drive, hard-work and a relentless pursue of finding the best possible people in the market for our clients. I would also say that we spend a ton of time building deep and lasting relationships with our clients and candidates. This allows us to truly know what the needs are and to find the right culture fit for our clients.

What’s the best advice you can give to other companies looking to grow?

Don’t be afraid to take risks and always spend time getting better. If you find yourself complacent and not moving forward, you are probably dying or shrinking. Celebrate your success, but know that there is no other substitute for hard work.

What role has your office space played in supporting your business goals?

We have always maintained an open environment that allows for more collaboration. Having a nice office with a good culture allows for continued growth and success.

What were you looking for in a new office space, and how did you land on purchasing a building?

I wanted to find a space we could grow in and be successful. We have added a small business outsourced accounting group and will need a larger area for them to continue to work and allow us to build it out. We also loved the idea of building out the warehouse area to accommodate a more open feeling and ability to host clients and events.

How will your new office space support your continued success?

It will allow our continued growth and allow us to build out a fun environment to go along with our culture.
